It's Whole Lake Herring! --Three pounds of it, to be exact, packaged in a plastic bag. We give you the whole specimen including the head! Each one is eviscerated and frozen. These fish have the "whole package"--head, body and tail. They have been gutted, meaning they contain no organs. What a wonderful near, whole prey meal for cats and dogs!
Our Whole Lake Herring is wild caught in Lake Superior by tribal fisherman for their roe. It is a product of Wisconsin. These fish are flash frozen to assure freshness. And they contain almost zero fat. As with all of our products, this selection is all natural with no preservatives or additives.
Lake Herring is a fresh-water whitefish.
